There are 2 types of Sleep studies that we do in our Hospital Clinics

In an effort to accurately diagnose and treat your sleep problem, your doctor may send you for a diagnostic sleep study or an overnight polysomnogram.

In-Lab Diagnostic

A diagnostic study will allow Queensland Sleep to assess your sleep, breathing, oxygen levels (non-invasive) and body movements and identify any disturbances or sleep abnormalities.

CPAP titration

In an effort to accurately diagnose and treat your sleep problem, your doctor may send you for a diagnostic sleep study or an overnight polysomnogram.

During an overnight CPAP titration study in your nearest Queensland Sleep hospital location. You spend the night in the hospital, and staff will fit a comfortable nose/mouth mask. Then while you are asleep, they will determine what settings are required to control any sleep problems. The results are then sent back to your GP.

  • Electrical activity of the brain
  • Snoring
  • Eye movement
  • Respiratory effort
  • Muscle activity
  • Body movements/Limb movements
  • Airflow from the nose and mouth
  • Heart rate
  • Blood oxygen levels (non-invasively)

We can also arrange Home based Sleep studies in locations we don’t have Hospital based Clinics.
